Worker bees too busy to go out for lunch get another delivery option with the arrival of Peach, a text-for-delivery lunch service for offices, launching in Dallas on November 6.

A Seattle startup, Peach has already expanded to San Diego and Boston; Dallas will be its fourth city.

Peach has already signed up Dallas restaurant favorites such as Monkey King Noodle, Urban Taco, Snappy Salads, Zizikis, Thai Opal, My Little Greek, Chameli, and more, and aims to sign more in the near future.

They'll offer a rotating menu of 3-8 dishes from 1-2 local restaurants each day, which they text to customers at 8:30 am. You have until 10:15 am to respond. If they say Yes, your card is automatically charged.

Delivery happens between 11:30 am and 12:15 pm, when lunch is dropped off at the designated office front desk and a delivery text is sent to customers to let them know that their order has arrived.

The dishes change every day.

In a release, co-founder Denis Bellavance cites the city's "blossoming food culture" as the reason the company expanded here. "When we were considering what city to open next, we considered many things such as population density, company headquarters, and the food culture," he says in a release, listing food culture as third behind the likely more relevant but unsexy-sounding factors of population density and company headquarters.

But wait, he's doubling down.

"Dallas is a massive city that is home to a large population of working professionals and an incredible food culture," he says. Not just blossoming, but incredible. "Those two elements are what will allow Peach to be successful and to create a mutually beneficial ecosystem of restaurants, corporate campuses, and individual consumers."

"We cannot wait to serve the Dallas community, expanding the reach of restaurants [beyond their neighborhood], and to deliver office employees a delicious lunch without them ever waiting in a line," he says.

Peach's delivery charge is $1, as in one dollar. However, since Peach caters to office professionals, a minimum of 50 people in the office and/or the office building need to sign up. You can sign up online at peachd.com/faq/#SigningUp or by emailing hello@peachd.com, or by texting 85176.
