An impressive group of Dallas philanthropists gathered at the Hilton Anatole for VNA’s Leaders & Legends gala. A legend in her own right, chair Lynn McBee — who has been involved with VNA since 1995, serving in vital positions such as chairman of the board — enlisted help from honorary chairs Regen and Jeff Fearon, Lizzie and Dan Routman, Sally Horchow, and Roger Horchow to spread the word about this wonderful cause.
And supporters heeded the call: They helped raised a million dollars for VNA hospice care and meals on wheels programs.
The evening centered around a conversation about Dallas leadership. In attendance were distinguished individuals such as Micki and Mike Rawlings, Matrice and Ron Kirk, Marianne and Roger Staubach, and Millie and Ken Cooper, as well as outstanding student leaders from Paul Quinn College, SMU, University of Dallas, UNT, UTD and UT Southwestern Medical School.
Established in 1934, VNA is a nonprofit that helps older adults live with dignity and independence at home. VNA offers meals on wheels in Dallas County and hospice and private care in Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Grayson, Henderson, Hunt, Kaufman, Navarro, Rockwall, Tarrant and Van Zandt counties.
