Art Ball Countdown
Art Ball patrons head to famous Highland Park household for pre-gala party
As a last hurrah before the main event May 3, Gene and Jerry Jones hosted a luxurious cocktail reception at their Highland Park home as a thank you to sponsors for the Dallas Museum of Art gala. Art Ball chairwoman Gina Betts helped with the evening’s hosting duties.
After meet-and-greets over cocktails and hors d’oeuvre by Cassandra Fine Catering, patrons — including Sharon and Michael Young, Rozalyn and Robert Colombo, Skye and Bill Brewer, Margot and Ross Perot, Nancy and Clint Carlson, Peggy and Carl Sewell, Carrie and Steven Becker, Georgina Hartland, Lisa and John Runyon, Holly and Doug Deason, Nicole Dabbert, Nancy C. and Robert R. Rogers, Jennifer and John Eagle, and Walt Roper — gathered for remarks by DMA executive director Maxwell L. Anderson. He had wonderful news to share: For the first time ever, the Art Ball live and silent auctions, sponsored by Heritage Auctions, would be available for bidding online through the HA’s website.
Upon departure, sponsors received a Chanel gift bag filled with Chanel books and fragrance; Heritage Auctions luxury and jewelry catalogs; and a fully illustrated coffee-table book published by Rizzoli celebrating the Dallas Cowboys art collection and architecture at AT&T Stadium.
Over the past 14 years, Art Ball has raised more than $20 million for the Dallas Museum of Art.
