Social Dallas lunch bunch shows how a little can-do attitude goes a long way
What: Third annual Wilkinson Center Can Do Luncheon
Where: Dallas Country Club
The 411: Charitable ladies and gentlemen joined event chair Leslie Dyers for a beautiful spring lunch and awards ceremony at Dallas Country Club. As guests enjoyed their meal, Wilkinson Center executive director Anne Reeder addressed the crowd and introduced a touching video explaining the mission of the organization. The Can Do! awards presentation followed, and this year's honors went to Communities Foundation of Texas, Wilkinson Center shoe drive founder Carlin Morris and Wilkinson Center client Tonya Howard. Before guests were dismissed, Sweet Harmony from Wilshire Baptist Church sang an upbeat tune to inspire the group to go forth with an optimistic attitude. The luncheon raises crucial funds to help Wilkinson Center in its capacity as a leading poverty rescue and prevention agency for the working poor in Dallas.
