Hip Dallas art lovers raise cash for kids at Desmond Mason fundraiser
Stay ZaZa Art House and Social Gallery always draws a cool crowd, and the Desmond Mason art fundraiser was no exception.
Chic enthusiasts dressed to match the arty theme — in particular Libby Naifeh, who donned a bright yellow maxi; Laurie Givens, who wore a fit-and-flare printed floral dress; and Wren Homsey, who combined a chambray button down with a structured skirt and yellow wedges.
But we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the Oklahoma-based artist (and former NBA star) who looked so hip in his vintage Rolling Stones tee, black blazer, slacks and red Converse lace-ups.
Supporters snatched up Mason’s unique paintings from his “Evolution” collection to help support Capital for Kids, an organization dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children in need and breaking the cycle of child abuse in North Texas.
As philanthropists Ben Kale, Charlie Givens, Patty Brown, Katie O’Brien, Abi Ferrin, Irena Hixson, Raja Ratan, and Vanessa and Ryan Cunningham perused and purchased the art, DJ Parker Lawson mixed the background beats.
The art-filled fundraiser raked in $19,000 for Capital for Kids.
