Former football greats huddle up for Dallas launch of pearly white initiative
What: Healthy Huddle Community Smile Project launch party
Where: Hickory Street Annex
The 411: Fans and families got to hang with former Dallas Cowboys and other football greats during a preview party for a new joint initiative between the National Football League Player Association (NFLPA), Monarch Dental and its nonprofit arm, the Smiles for Everyone Foundation. Called Healthy Huddle, it provides premium dental services for retired players. But more important is the Healthy Huddle Community Smile Project, which enables any member of the NFLPA Dallas chapter to nominate one underprivileged youth per quarter per office for free dental services. With 52 Monarch Dental offices in Dallas, that means as many as 208 kids a year could receive dental care when they otherwise wouldn’t. The first 75 guests who RSVP’d for the event were gifted an autographed football boasting signatures from all of the NFLPA special guests.
