Heart of a Warrior Charitable Foundation raises a glass for Casino Night kickoff
It was a night of laughter, celebration and fellowship at the Heart of a Warrior Foundation Casino Night kickoff party at the Tower Club, which officially launched this year’s activities for the annual fundraising gala taking place November 9 at the W Dallas Victory Hotel.
Gail Warrior and Tiffaney Dale Hunter welcomed guests — including Zachary Carroll, Dr. Sheila Chhutani Jackson, Katrina Keyes, Mary McKay, Rachel Roberts Pickett, Debbie and Randy Smith, Annette Watkins, Sarah Madsen-Miller, Saadia Sheikh, Hamilton Sneed, Amy Hampton, and Schnell Blanton — and thanked special guest artist Frank Kelley Jr., who donated art for the evening.
The group watched a video highlighting the 2013 HOAW Young Warriors Summer Learning Program, which engages children in math, science, nutrition and fundamentals of Spanish, as well as community outreach and leadership. The video included photos from the program’s classroom projects, 2013 Fitness Day with Equinox, field trips to the Perot Museum of Nature and Science and George W. Bush Presidential Center, and the graduation at Paul Quinn College with keynote speaker and former Dallas Cowboy Larry Brown Jr.
The Heart of a Warrior Charitable Foundation’s mission is to serve the children of the Dallas-Fort Worth areas in communities where children are disadvantaged and in need of being uplifted, encouraged and supported. Tickets for the upcoming gala can be purchased online.
