Tricks and Treats
Celebrate Halloween like a scenester and party with purpose
Forget the crowded bars and ridiculously slutty costumes. Instead, celebrate Halloween with a frenetic party that benefits a special cause. Hurry up and get your tickets before it's too late. You don't want your carriage to turn into a pumpkin. Then you'll get stuck among the witches of McKinney Avenue.
Escapade
Escapade is one of our city’s most exciting Halloween celebrations. Chairmen Matthew Simon and Keith Schumann, Todd Fiscus, and Ceron have us stoked for the Dia De Los Muertos-themed fete featuring spooky entertainment — including beats by DJ Lucy Wrubel and Jeff Mitchell — a boozy candy shop, live auction “experience” and more. Join the party October 27, 7:30 pm, at the International Design Center.
Bone Bash
The Arthritis Foundation celebrates Halloween with its seventh annual Bone Bash at the Fairmont. Cities across the nation celebrate with a freaky party for the incredible cause. In store for us? Lots of entertainment, including silent and live auctions, dinner, and music by Doctor Doctor. Feel the chills October 27, 6:30 pm.
Bark-tober
On October 27, pups and their owners are invited to the Sundown at Granada’s Halloween fete, and everyone — with two legs or four — is urged to dress in costume. After a costume parade there is a best-dressed pup competition. Nosh on brunch items and fun cocktails during this daytime fete that starts at 11 am.
Canines, Cats and Cabernet
Leave the costumes at home for this one. On October 28, Operation Kindness celebrates 20 years of the Canines, Cats and Cabernet gala at the Omni Dallas. Indulge at the carving stations and bid in the silent and live auctions to support the oldest and largest no-kill shelter in North Texas. The doggone good time starts at 7 pm.
