A sports franchise is nothing without its fans. So, to honor the loyalists, Dallas Mavericks basketball bigwigs hosted a swanky cocktail party at Cook Hall, the new gastropub at W Dallas Victory Hotel. On the guest list were those who've purchased season tickets since 1980, as well as courtside ticket holders.

"Seventy-five percent of the people [at the American Airlines Center on any given game night] are season ticket holders," said Dallas Mavericks senior vice president George Prokos.

Basketball fanatics — including David Lynn, Simone RedwineGlynis RedwineSammy Rosenzweig, Danny BollingerMelanie Lusk and Gail O'Bannon — got to mingle with two oh-so-hot Mavs dancers before settling into booths and high cocktail tables. Then Daryl JettBrittni Hunt and James Cobb welcomed attendees and explained the upcoming cocktail kit contest.

Mavs play-by-play announcer Mark Followill drew raffle prizes — including a one-night stay at the W and dinner for two at Cook Hall, framed and autographed photos of Dirk Nowitzki, and shoes autographed by Dahntay Jones — and led a question-and-answer session with Jones and Mavs general manager Donnie Nelson. Then guests played mixologist and created cocktails that were later judged by the Mavs and W execs.
