Surprise! Country star Clint Black hits the stage for a private party at the Granada

It's no secret that our fair city has a little obsession with country music stars. Blake Shelton at Cattle Baron's Ball, Big and Rich at St. Jude's 50th anniversary party. The list goes on.

Case in point: Clint Black surprised guests at the Granada Theater for a not-so-little private party.

To celebrate its 115th birthday, Chamberlin Roofing and Waterproofing rented out the Granada Theater for the fourth year in a row and brought in Black for a special private performance.

Past year's performers include Pat Green, Robert Earl Keen and ZZ Top — prompting us to consider changing careers.

Black performed for 90 minutes in front of 350 guests — some of whom shot video of the country crooner on their phones.

The country superstar gave Texas a lot of love during the show. "Never ask a man if he's from Texas," he said. "If he is, he'll tell you. If he's not, don't embarrass him."
