Southwest Airlines' flash sale means cheap and easy international travel this fall
On Tuesday, Southwest Airlines launched two major flash sales featuring low one-way fares on national and international flights from 10 of its domestic cities, including Dallas. The only catch is that all flights originating from Dallas' Love Field must make a stop at Houston's William P. Hobby Airport, but with prices this low to destinations like Belize and Costa Rica that's a small concession.
The sale on national one-way flights leaving Hobby applies to flights booked by July 30 for flights between August 25 and December 16. Deals on one-way fares include flights to destinations like New York/LaGuardia (starting at $120), Los Angeles (starting at $142), Las Vegas (starting at $126), Washington, D.C. (starting at $119) and New Orleans (starting at $83), among many others.
If you're looking to travel within Texas, it's time to jump on one-way fares to destinations like Austin (starting at $63), Houston (starting at $79), San Antonio (starting at $79) and El Paso (starting at $133).
Southwest's sale on international flights leaving Love Field applies to flights booked by July 23 for flights between August 25 and December 16. The three-day sale features reduced one-way fares to a number of destinations in Mexico — including Cancun (starting at $153), Cabo San Lucas (starting at $153), Mexico City (starting at $113), Puerto Vallarta (starting at $153) — as well as flights to Belize City (starting at $131); Liberia, Costa Rica (starting at $179); Montego Bay, Jamaica (starting at $206); and San Jose, Costa Rica (starting at $178).
The Dallas-based airline operates more than 3,600 flights a day and serves 95 destinations across the United States, as well as six other countries.
