The Dallas Contemporary’s recent party honoring Dzine was a phenomenon, and so was the ensemble worn by Christie’s senior vice president, managing director Southwest region and the event’s honorary chair, Capera Ryan.
Balancing the evening’s bling theme with the vintage theme of another event she attended the same evening, Ryan dressed in what she called “a play on Hollywood in the ’30s, but more cutting edge. It’s conservative cutting edge.”
Ryan gave her emerald bias-cut silk dress from Prabal Gurung and Fendi shoes the perfect finish — an emerald bracelet from India, snake earrings by The Woods and purple streaks in her raven hair.
Why does purple reign? “It’s my favorite color,” Ryan says. “No matter what, I always have a little purple on!”
