A Guy's Shop
New Oak Cliff menswear shop suits the neighborhood
Dallas men have a new place to shop for brand-name threads, and no, it’s not at NorthPark Center. It’s down in Oak Cliff, at 837 W. Davis St., in the hot strip that also houses Joy Macarons.
Called DLM Supply, the store specializes in men’s apparel, gifts, and quirky accessories (think every Marvis toothpaste flavor imaginable, and nifty travel-size cocktail kits). It is owned by Oak Cliff resident Deavon Moore, who has more than 17 years of experience in the retail industry, both nationally and internationally, including stints as a buyer for Nordstrom (with a focus on menswear) and as vice president of merchandising for Saint Bernard.
In other words — she knows what men want.
“I have always dreamed of opening my own retail space,” Moore says in a release. “When the timing was right, I wanted to bring it back to my own neighborhood. I love the eclectic spirit of Oak Cliff and the celebration of the arts. I want DLM Supply to augment the rich culture of its residents.”
DLM offers everything from denim and weekend wear to business casual, from brands such as Billy Reid, Relwen, Filson, S.M.N Denim, Goodlife, J Brand, Raleigh, La Paz, and Portuguese Flannel. It also stocks an extensive line of accessories brands.
The simple, modern decor also skews manly, with polished concrete floors, exposed brick, and heavy iron fixtures. As of now, store hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10 am to 6 pm; Sunday, noon-5 pm; and Monday by appointment.
