Sixth-generation Texas native June Naylor is a food and travel writer for 360 West Magazine. In a long journalism career, starting with the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, June has become a regular contributor to Texas Highways magazine, Texas Journey, and Texas Monthly. She’s the award-winning author of The Food Lovers’ Guide to Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas: Off the Beaten Path, Quick Escapes From Dallas/Fort Worth, and Recommended Bed & Breakfasts: The Southwest. The author of three cookbooks with local chefs, including The Texas Cowboy Kitchen, Cooking the Cowboy Way, and Big Ranch, Big City, June has also written a handy guidebook called Texas Landmark Cafes. A Regional Panelist for the James Beard Foundation Restaurant Awards, June belongs to the international women’s culinary organization called Les Dames D’Escoffier. She’s also among the founding fifty members of the non-profit Foodways Texas, dedicated to preserving, promoting, and celebrating Texas food culture.
