Dallas’ newest farmers market, Little D, will debut on Sunday, April 6 in the parking lot of Four Corners Brewery. The City of Dallas has granted the market a year-long operating permit, and
Trinity Groves has allowed it to take place on a trial basis on the first and second Sundays in April. If the trial proves a success, the market will run on the first, second and third Sundays of the month through December.
Little D Farmers Market was formed with the motivation to bring an additional source of fresh, local food to Dallas, and to neighborhoods west of the Trinity River. Having a source for locally-grown produce not only improves the health and quality of life in the surrounding area, but can also strengthen the community by providing a social gathering of like-minded food enthusiasts.
All of the vendors grow or produce their food within a 150-mile radius of Dallas, and will be selling seasonal fruits, vegetables and specialty items straight from their gardens or kitchens.
