The Class of '76 is back in action at their '70s-themed 40th high school reunion, and the only living faculty member, Edna Von Schlickendicken, now a zillionairess from her face cream and cosmetics empire, joins the class to commemorate the evening. A time capsule, buried 40 years prior on the school campus, is opened, and the game is afoot when Edna is suddenly murdered.

Ace detective Sam Diamond is called in to solve the crime. Was it her business partner, Cliff? Class President Charles Cheeslay, or his wife (the former Ms. Texas Leather), Trixie? Perhaps the odd and strangely accented foreign exchange student, Utta Schlonsonwiener, heir to the Norwegian throne, or her "husband," Sven? Many other characters are possible in a bizarre, but lovable, cast.
