The University of Texas at Dallas – University Theatre presents Fred Curchack: Resurrection of Freddy Chickan

Fred Curchack, professor of theater, will present the Resurrection of Freddy Chickan, a multimedia one-person show. The retrospective features excerpts from nine of the 78 theatre pieces written and performed by Curchack throughout his career. When curating the work, Curchack reviewed his original works to find pieces that would meet three criteria.

After receiving drama degrees from the High School of Performing Arts in N.Y., and from Queens College, Curchack studied Indian Kathakali, Japanese Noh, Balinese Topeng, African dance, choreography with Alwin Nikolais, and he trained with Grotowski’s Polish Theatre Lab. He is Professor of Theatre at The University of Texas at Dallas.
