White Elephant Saloon

“Longhair Jim” Courtright, a not-so-law-abiding Fort Worth sheriff, was shot and killed by White Elephant owner Luke Short in 1887. Stories have it that the shady sheriff still shows up from time to time to the saloon. While you wait for a glimpse, grab a drink and listen to live music (played every night of the week) — then take a stroll around Sundance Square to shake off any goose bumps.
