Bishop Arts Theatre Center
This often-overlooked Dallas treasure, located just minutes from the Bishop Arts District, features a 170-seat theater housed in a renovated, historic building. Originally constructed in 1914, the building was once the Bluebird Theatre, a silent movie house. Today it is home to the Bishop Arts Theatre Center, a multicultural theater company that promotes the arts and arts education in the Dallas area.
BATC’s mission is to cultivate a diverse and vibrant arts community while creating opportunities for local and emerging artists through performances and education. Bishop Arts Theatre Center offers a full season of Theatre, Jazz, and Speaker Series events while providing education initiatives to the community in the form of in class, summer camps, and even workshops for senior citizens.
