David M. Schwarz designed Choctaw Stadium, a state-of-the-art multi-use sporting facility. (Schwarz has made other marks in North Texas, including Bass Performance Hall and Southlake Town Square.) The open-air facility debuted in 1994 and received upgrades to video, technology and audio systems for the 2011 baseball season. It was the home for the Texas Rangers baseball team until 2020, when they moved across the street to Globe Life Field.
It has gone by five names in its history: The Ballpark in Arlington, Ameriquest Field in Arlington, Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Globe Life Park in Arlington, and, starting in 2021, Choctaw Stadium.
