Dan Aykroyd of the Blues Brothers and Isaac Tigrett, co-founder of the Hard Rock Cafe, came together to create the House of Blues in 1992. The venue has 13 locations across the nation, including one in the West End, located in a building that dates back to the 1920s. The live-music venue brings well-known musicians from across the nation, and the restaurant serves up casual comfort food such as prime rib sandwich, jambalaya, and mac and cheese. As a concert venue, it’s not to small and not too big. It’s just right.

Fair warning: drinks can be pricey.
