Movies and martinis. What more could you want? Well, popcorn, maybe, but the Inwood has that too, natch. This historic 1940s theater got some serious upgrades when Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner took over Landmark Theatres in 2005. The neon sign was rebuilt, murals got facelifts, and auditoriums were decked out with new screens and sound systems and leather seats. In addition to screenings of independent and foreign films, the Inwood does a cult-classic movie at midnight on the weekends – say, Rocky Horror Picture Show, Raising Arizona or Princess Bride.

The Lounge at the Inwood Theatre is one of the best bars in Dallas.
