The Museum of Geometric and MADI Art

This museum is wholly dedicated to MADI art, a style developed in the 1940s by Argentinean artist Carmelo Arden Quin. Whereas most contemporary artwork represents concepts – which can be more complex than the piece itself – MADI art is all about what you see. It’s a playful form of geometric art that relies on color, shape and pattern. Bill and Dorothy Masterson amassed a collection of MADI works from artists across the globe. Eventually they decided to share their collection with the community and renovated a space in MADI style to house their collection.
The MADI museum also hosts visiting exhibitions. Check the website for schedule.
