Regal Arbor Cinemas
Ever since the unfortunate closure of the more central Dobie Theater, the Arboretum-based Arbor Cinemas have become the standard for limited-release independent and foreign films in Austin. As a member of the Regal Group of theaters, it does not carry all the bells and whistles of the food and beer-serving Alamo Drafthouse, but the humble theater sizes and older clientele insure a respectful and enjoyable movie-going experience every time. Plus, you can always grab food from any one of the great Arboretum restaurants within driving or walking distance beforehand.
