Original Mexican Eats Cafe

Fort Worth's oldest restaurant, the Original Mexican Eats Cafe was opened in 1926 by the Pineda family. It's your classic combination-plate Tex-Mex with a smidge of American thrown in such as the spaghetti topped with chili con carne. One dish, the $10.95 Roosevelt special, featuring a cheese enchilada with chili, beef taco, and bean chalupa, is named for a visit made by Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1936.
