Part of the local Thanpaisarnsamut family's empire of Fort Worth Thai restaurants, Spice is the most contemporary of the bunch, with its stained cement floors, arty lighting and Near Southside locale. It's a small, tight space, and you sit at tiny tables, practically in each other's laps; it feels like you're eating at a New York hotspot. Business booms at lunch, thanks to lunch specials – an entrée, spring roll or egg roll and a small salad for less than $10. It's a bit more relaxed at dinner, when you can take your time nursing your sake and duck kra prow.
