ACM Awards books some of our favorite Dallas Cowboys as celebrity presenters
The list of celebrities presenting at the 50th annual Academy of Country Music Awards, taking place on Sunday, April 19 at AT&T Stadium, has been revealed, and apropos of the venue, it includes several current and former Dallas Cowboys.
Hall of Fame quarterback Troy Aikman, current quarterback Tony Romo and tight end Jason Witten are among the people who will dole out awards at the sure-to-be lavish ceremony. The list also includes Clint Black, Kelly Clarkson, Taya Kyle, Nancy O’Dell, Darius Rucker, Steven Tyler, Sofia Vergara, Reese Witherspoon and Alabama.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is not on that list, but don't worry: He's sure to get his face time at some point during the telecast.
In all, 26 people or groups will hand out awards. Of course, the actual awards will almost be an afterthought, as most people will be showing up or tuning in to see performances by Garth Brooks, Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Reba, George Strait, a reunited Brooks & Dunn, Lady Antebellum and more.
Believe it or not, tickets for the awards are still available via Ticketmaster.com. And not just the limited view ones; you can still get a front view of the stage, as long as you're willing to pay the price.
The ACM Awards, hosted once again by Blake Shelton and Luke Bryan, will start at 7 pm CDT and air on CBS.
