Stylish Fort Worth boutique expands east to Dallas' happening Henderson strip
Stylish and savvy Fort Worth women looking for fast, affordable, and unique fashions have known to head to Esther Penn on West Seventh Street since 2014. Now the boutique, one of Fort Worth’s best, is expanding to Dallas.
Co-owners Alyson Johnson and Kacey Cargile hope to open their second location by mid-April. The new spot, located at 2802 N. Henderson Ave. near Vickery Park, will feature more than 1,700 square feet of retail space. It will fit right into the strip now known for its funky resale shops, elegant home decor boutiques, and popular bars and restaurants.
Johnson says that shoppers can expect the same aesthetic as the Fort Worth store, with clean white walls and a modern-meets-Southwestern decor scheme.
Esther Penn has become the spot to shop for classic women's staples and trendy pieces, ever-changing and often in limited quantities. It’s a favorite among TCU students and twentysomethings, who shop for patterned dresses and crop tops, as well as everyday staples and pieces with a bit of edge. Brands include One Teaspoon and Yellow 108, plus accessories from Fort Worth brand Tribe Alive.
But at this new Dallas store, don’t rule out a few surprises.
“We try to keep in mind things that go within each city,” Johnson says. “We will be tweaking it.”
