Where to shop in Dallas right now: 9 must-hit stores for April

With temperatures warming up, it's time to get out there and shop. Yes, time to ditch the online orders and go straight to the source — for kids' clothes, jewelry, home decor, athletic apparel, and even a little menswear. It's going to be hard to pick just one place for your annual spring splurge. Here are nine new options in Dallas.

Brenda Schoenfeld
The Dallas-based brand, offering uniquely feminine and finely articulated jewelry, is now open at 3911 Oak Lawn Ave. Each posh piece is sourced from Schoenfeld's family workshop in Taxco, Mexico. After living in Italy for 18 years, the designer was inspired by the gold and precious gems of experienced Italian artisans and felt led to create her own. A trip to her new flagship location is a true treat for jewelry lovers.

Dwell with Dignity Thrift Studio
The much-anticipated fundraising pop-up shop — open through April 27 in the Dallas Design District — features luxuriously furnished vignettes designed by North Texas’ leading designers, showrooms, and retailers, as well as a selection of fine art from 34 prestigious artists. All of the items on display are available for shoppers to purchase at deep discounts, with 100 percent of proceeds benefiting Dwell with Dignity. Thrift Studio Pop-Up Shop is open 10 am-5 pm Monday through Saturday through April 27 and is free for attendees to explore and shop. It is located at the Dallas Design Center, 1250 Slocum Street, #550.

Grace Loves Lace
Luxe Australian bridal and occasion-wear brand Grace Loves Lace has put a ring on Dallas, opening its newest showroom on April 9 in the Design District. The cult-favorite bridal designer is the creator of "the world’s most pinned wedding dress on Pinterest," and is famous for its ethereal, modern boho-chic designs, as well as its signature Aussie service. Located at 1411 Dragon St., the new bridal salon spans over 5,000 square feet and is available by appointment for brides-to-be and their entourages.

KCA Design
Artist Kris Ammon, founder of KCA Design, has launched an exciting vintage section of her already blossoming business. Through her super-secret connections, Ammon offers a whimsical mix of unique vintages and covetable accessories and more. Kendra Scott
The Texas brand's summer 2019 collection launches in store and online this month, with new bold designs perfect for an upcoming graduation party, garden soiree, or outdoor festival. Having drawn influence from natural shell materials. the new season has an obvious botanical theme, with a modern twist that reveals versatile pieces that can be worn again and again with a variety of outfits. Be on the lookout for the Malika Earrings, Renzo Earrings, Eloise Ann Bracelet, Kelsey Necklace, and Reggie Ring.

Knot Standard
Men, make your way to this trendy and tailored suit shop to browse the just-launched spring and summer collection. From beige to green plaid and even rust herringbone, Knot Standard has pieces to take you from the office to happy hour and everywhere in between. Maisonette x Mi Golondrina
On April 13, former Vogue editors and mompreneurs Sylvana Ward Durrett and Luisana Mendoza will bring micro-fashion to Dallas with Maisonette's exclusive collaboration with Mi Golondrina. The trunk show, also featuring Gaia and Folklore Las Ninas, takes place at the Mi Golondrina store from 11 am-2 pm, with designer Cristina Lynch. Parents are invited to enjoy lite bites and sips while viewing the new collections. The shop is at 2727 W. Mockingbird Ln. #102, Dallas.

SculptHouse
A high-tech fitness studio from Atlanta called SculptHouse will make itself at home in Dallas' Inwood Village later this spring, but its luxury athletic wear boutique has already opened. The boutique offers a revolving collection of activewear from more than 30 different men’s and women’s fitness-fashion designers. A “shoe wall” features unique hand-picked selections, including the popular EsseUtEsse fringe sneakers for which SculptHouse is the exclusive U.S. retail shop. Top brands include: Free People Movement, DYI, Ultracor, Varley, Koral, Beach Riot, Spanx, Year of Ours, Rhone (for men), and more. It is located at 5550 West Lovers Ln., Ste. 146.

Stella & Dot Pop-Up Shop
The Austin-born jewelry brand has opened its first pop-up shop in Dallas, at 3010 North Henderson Ave. Shoppers can browse Stella & Dot’s newest collections displayed against a custom mural by local artist Alli Koch. Events planned include bag monogramming with artist Viv Jordan, mini-manicures with Cherry, and a panel discussion with HER HQ. The pop-up is open daily through April 20.

Charleston jewelry boutique Hart makes Texas debut on Dallas' Knox St.

Charleston-based personalized jewelry brand Hart is debuting its first Texas boutique in Dallas, and it couldn't have picked a better spot than the bustling Knox Street district.

The boutique will open Saturday, August 29 at 3212 Knox St., marking the company's fifth retail location nationwide, after stores in Charleston, New York, Nashville, and Nantucket.

According to a release, the Dallas shop will offer Hart's (officially styled HART) popular collection of talismans, chains, cords, bezel jewelry, earrings, and gemstone strands, designed to be mixed and layered. The brand is particularly known for personalized jewelry, with shoppers able to work one-on-one with a member of the Hart team to select symbols and talismans for a custom piece.

The Dallas location will also carry a collection of pieces created specifically for the Texas market, the owners say.

For the store's design, Hart worked with Dallas firm Burkle Creative, which specializes in residential, hospitality, and retail interiors.

"Hart has built a brand around meaningful pieces that tell a story, so our approach was to create a retail environment that feels equally personal," says Javier Burkle, Burkle Creative principal and creative director, in the release. "We wanted the Dallas store to honor Hart's Charleston heritage while embracing the spirit of Texas, blending their unique character and a sense of discovery throughout the space.

"The result is a store that feels like stepping into the home of a well-traveled collector, where every detail invites customers to explore and connect with the brand."

The Dallas opening follows Hart's move into a permanent New York flagship on Bleecker Street in the West Village.

"Dallas has one of the most stylish, confident, and individualistic customer bases in the country," says Hart Hagerty, Hart chief creative officer. "We've been inspired by the Dallas woman for years, her boldness, her sense of self, her commitment to dressing with intention. We are so excited to finally be here."

Curry Hagerty, Hart's CEO, said Dallas has been a hot market for the brand online and through local wholesale partners Clover and St. Bernard. Now they're bringing everything directly to Dallas shoppers.

"Dallas has consistently been one of our top markets for online sales," Hagerty says. "We also have strong wholesale relationships already in the market through Clover and St. Bernard, so we know this customer and she knows us. Opening in Dallas was less a question of if and more a question of when."

Hart's new store will be part of the Knox Street shopping and dining district, near the Katy Trail and surrounded by more than 70 shops and restaurants.

A grand opening event will take place Saturday, August 29 beginning at 10 am. The first 50 people will receive a custom Hart Dallas tote, custom bandana, and $50 gift card. A latte art cart will be on site to supply sustenance.

Once fully open, the Dallas boutique will be open 10 am-7 pm Monday-Saturday and 10 am-6 pm Sunday.
