Leading men's accessories brand Hook & Albert is partnering with Dallas artist Kyle Steed, the man behind murals at Sixty Vines Dallas, Oak Cliff Coffee, and Trinity Strand Trail, for the its first-ever artist collaboration.
"Having our corporate headquarters in Dallas, most of our office has been in contact with some part of Kyle's work," says co-founder Adam Schoenberg. "We're fans and supporters of creative minds, and more important, incredible people. Kyle checks both of those boxes."
Schoenberg, with his longtime friend and partner Cory Rosenberg, launched the Dallas-based label in 2011 to fill a void in the market for functional, stylish accessories for men.
Today, Hook & Albert is best known for small leather goods and travel bags, most notably The Garment Weekender Bag, which caught the eyes of fashion editors across the country when it was introduced several years ago and has since become a brand hero.
While Steed's graphic, black-and-white collection is a departure for the brand, it's right at home with Hook & Albert's streamlined aesthetic. Steed, who describes his style as "minimal and abstract," was immediately drawn to the project.
"I'm drawn to the elegance and simplicity of the brand," says Steed. "When Hook & Albert asked me to collaborate, I was super excited. They were so open to letting me work freely and conceptualize without restraints."
The Kyle Steed Collection features hand-painted weekender bags, dopp kits, briefcases, wallets, card holders and glasses cases, priced from $100-$1,200.
