Fearless Fall Fashion
Nicole Miller discovers her warrior princess side in fall collection
For fall, Nicole Miller has a thing for the warrior princess. Her collection, arriving in stores any day now, exudes a tough-girl vibe with leather jackets, studded boots and neoprene skirts, combined with softer looks such as skirts made of peacock feathers and her signature digital prints.
To showcase the collection, Miller has released a series of videos with a “female warrior” theme and the hashtag #NMWarrior. Her warriors are fashion bloggers Liz Cherkasova of Late Afternoon, sister duo Natalie Suarez of Natalie Off Duty and Dylana Suarez of Color Me Nana, and Christina Caradona of Trop Rouge, who spout empowerment slogans as they cavort on roller coasters and tread carefully atop cement walls in tight-fitting skirts and tops.
“You don’t have to wear a suit to feel strong,” the bloggers say in a tag line that closes each segment.
Part two of the series, released this past week, features the free-spirited Suarez sisters around New York as they spout such aphorisms as, “It’s important to be daring and live life on the edge, because you never know where it’s going to take you.”
The third video will be released next week, featuring Caradona, who takes off in a helicopter, rides a bike through the streets, hops on the subway and climbs on a rooftop.
That’s girl power, for sure.
