After 30 years in business, the Clothes Circuit, tucked away on Sherry Lane in Preston Center in Dallas, can officially claim it has stood the test of time.
The Park Cities resale consignment shop may not always be in the news, and it hasn’t made an effort to advertise with every outlet in town. But, over the years, Clothes Circuit has acquired a very loyal and fashion-forward clientele that appreciates designer style, affordable pricing and good customer service.
“At times this feels like a women’s center,” says owner Irene Mylan, who has seen resale clothing increase in popularity over the decades. “It’s an easy place to drop in and be among people who appreciate and know you and share the fun that fashion represents.”

Mylan agrees with the adage that if you love what you do, then you don’t have to work a day in your life. She thinks about her business all the time, and she’s always on the lookout for pieces to consign. But it’s hardly a chore.
“I am proud of what we have created and want to nurture it,” she says. “We delight in seeing women being able to dress tastefully, without detracting from their other financial obligations. So not only do they find a great outfit, they can afford the tickets to the event they want to wear it to.”
More than 500 items are introduced to the floor daily, boasting designer names such as Burberry, Gucci, Prada and St. John, as well as contemporary favorites like Alice + Olivia, Trina Turk, Tory Birch and Michael Kors. And that’s just a sampling.
The Clothes Circuit also carries office-ready styles from popular mid-level brands Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, Cole Haan, and many more. No matter the occasion or specific clothing need, Clothes Circuit has it, from apparel and shoes to handbags and jewelry.
Mylan and team are also pretty darn good at what they do. Clothes Circuit sells more than 90 percent of the items it consigns, and the promise is that every piece sold is credited to the consignor’s account.
Even if your clothes do not sell, there is good news: Items that remain unsold after final end of season sale are donated to the Family Place in your name. A business that supports Family Place is a business we can get behind.
“As far as being open for 30 years, much would be due to our wonderful staff,” Mylan said. “The average tenure is nine years. We know each other, our consignors and our shoppers.”
