Black Friday Brunch
Lombardi restaurants sate Dallas shoppers with Black Friday brunch
Those brave enough to hit the Black Friday sales can set down their purchases and sit back with a mimosa, because Lombardi restaurants are extending their usual weekend brunches to include the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Restaurants participating in the Friday brunch festivities include Bistro 31, Penne Pomodoro, Toulouse Cafe and Bar, and Taverna. Brunch will be served during regularly scheduled hours on Saturday and Sunday.
Among the highlights are Bistro 31’s Benedict on toasted panini, assorted pastries such as pain au chocolat and toasted hazelnut brioche, and Bistro 31 Bloody Mary served with crispy jamon serrano. So very Highland Park Village.
For something more family-friendly, Penne Pomodoro does a Penne hash; savory waffle filled with bacon, mozzarella and jalapeño; and create-our-own omelets. Oh, and $2 mimosas and Bellinis. Brunch is available at all three (Snider Plaza, Preston and Forest, and Lakewood) locations.
At Toulouse, enjoy short rib hash or New Orleans-style beignets as you watch the more serious shoppers stroll by on Knox Street.
Taverna — both Knox Street and downtown Fort Worth — serves a smattering of brunch specials, such as eggs al forno all ‘olio tartufato, which is eggs served over garlic bread and topped with truffle oil to the layperson. Taverna also does $2 mimosas and Bellinis to keep up those holiday spirits.
