Dallas young professionals go back to school to support LGBTQ youth
What: Resource Center’s Young Professionals Advisory Council (YPAC) Back-To-School Fundraiser
Where: Conduit Gallery
The 411: YPAC held a spirited shindig at the Design District gallery to raise funds for the Resource Center’s Youth First program benefiting North Texas LGBTQ youth. Fueled by Stoli cocktails, Bud Light, and bites from iQon Productions/Bar 10 and the Original Cupcakery, supporters contributed $10,000 to this integral program. In addition to art, guests enjoyed tunes spun by DJ Brandon Moses.
YPAC is a unique giving circle for young professionals (45 and under) passionate about supporting the emotional needs, life skills, and educational advancement of Dallas-area lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning youth. Youth First is the only program in North Texas that addresses the challenges LGBTQ youth face with family members, peers, and fellow students. Serving youth and young adults ages 12-18, Youth First equips them with the skills they need to lead an open life.
Resource Center is a trusted leader that empowers the LGBT communities and all people affected by HIV through improving health and wellness, strengthening families and communities, and providing transformative education and advocacy.
