SPCA of Texas kicks off Fur Ball festivities with posh prequel party
The SPCA of Texas celebrates its 75th anniversary on September 21 at the Omni Dallas, but they just couldn’t wait to get the party started. So patrons gathered at the home of Jeff Rich and Jan Miller for a Fur Ball kickoff, where guests enjoyed light bites and champagne.
This year’s Fur Ball theme is "James Bond: Diamonds are Fur-Ever," so there was plenty for guests — including Jan and Trevor Rees-Jones, Dr. Dale Rabinowitz, Phyllis Glazer, Holly Forsythe, Jocelyn White, Stacey and Don Kivowitz, Linda and Steve Ivy, Terri Kennedy, and Cassie Evans — to talk about, including what to wear, who will be there and how to outdo last year's ball.
And because no SPCA soiree would be complete without an appearance from a beloved four-legged friend, Schumacher the Beagle made sure supporters were on their best behavior.
All money raised through Fur Ball 2013 benefits the SPCA of Texas to help rescue, heal and find homes for thousands of animals. The SPCA of Texas is the leading animal welfare agency in North Texas, serving 50,000 pets and people in eight counties each year.
