A Legendary Concert
Music legend Emmylou Harris treats charitable Dallasites to once-in-a-lifetime concert
What: An Evening With Emmylou Harris benefiting Stay-Focused
Where: Arlington Hall at Lee Park
The 411: It’s not often that people get to see a 13-time Grammy Award winner in such an intimate setting, but such was the case when Emmylou Harris came to Dallas to perform at Arlington Hall. She was there for a concert benefiting Stay-Focused, a charity dedicated to providing unique quality-of-life experiences to persons with disabilities through scuba and other water-based activity. More than 100 supporters gathered in the historic venue — first for cocktails and a meet-and-greet, then for a private concert in the Great Hall. Guests also listened to the story of paralympian and Stay-Focused alumnus Ryan Chalmers and closed out the evening in Lee Park’s formal garden to partake in a three-course meal prepared by chef Joseph Oldham.
