To honor the good deeds of our city’s charitable young professionals — and to have a little fun on a Wednesday night — CultureMap partnered with the Junior Associates of the Dallas Museum of Art and the Dallas Children’s Advocacy Center Alliance for its second CultureMap Social, this time on the spectacular terrace of The Joule hotel downtown.
With the city links twinkling in the background, guests — including Dior Gardner, Keara Dwyer, Paige Phillips, Bryn Burchfiel, Kirsten Williams, Clare and Rob Watkins, Caitlin Clark, Jordan Kragen, Catherine Cody, Julie Blacklidge Kinzie, Hala Habal, and Wade Sims — sipped custom cocktails by Remy Cointreau and wines from Texas' own Becker Vineyards, McPherson Cellars and Duchman Family Winery. They also nibbled on a smorgasbord of Texas cheeses and charcuterie before indulging in treats from a s’mores station.
Because sometimes it’s hard to break the ice, attendees also participated in the “Find Your Match” game. The premise was simple: Each person got a card with a name on it and was tasked with discovering its match. There were only two matching cards out of hundreds, and the two winners were rewarded with a one-night stay at The Joule, breakfast for two and a $100 gift card to Joule retail shops. It was quite the incentive to mingle.
Adding to the posh party vibe were arrangements of orchids, garden roses and hydrangeas from Jackson Durham and the musical stylings of DJ Gina G, who plays only pure vinyl. And, if the Find Your Match game weren’t adventurous enough, those who dared could get their cards read by Megan Benanti of Tarot Dallas.
And you didn’t think we’d let people leave empty-handed, did you? CultureMap swag bags featured goodies from Neiman Marcus Last Call, ESPA, Traffic, Weekend Coffee and Ten Over Six. Lyft, the official transportation sponsor, also provided a free ride up to $20 to new users using a CultureMap code for the event.
But before they got in their rides, partygoers wrapped the night with a complimentary beverage from buzzy new CBD Provisions.
