Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders makes Dallas his Valentine date
Bernie is coming to Dallas, sort of. Actually Mesquite.
Less than three weeks before Super Tuesday, Sen. Bernie Sanders will return to Texas on Friday, February 14, to hold a rally in the Dallas area, following two rallies the same day in North Carolina, in Durham and Charlotte.
Long day.
The rallies come on the heels of news that Bernie 2020 is ramping up staffing and launching a $5.5 million ad campaign across North Carolina, Texas, and several other Super Tuesday states.
Bernie 2020 will be traveling to Super Tuesday states, as well as Nevada and South Carolina, as part of a 50-state strategy to win the nomination, defeat Donald Trump, and transform the country.
While other people are shopping for roses or making reservations for dinner, Bernie's Valentine's Day itinerary will be as follows:
11:30 am: Durham Rally
Durham Convention Center, Grand Ballroom, Durham
Doors open at 9:30 am. This event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required, but an RSVP is encouraged. Entrance is provided on a first come, first served basis.
3:30 pm: Charlotte Rally
Belk Theater at Blumenthal Performing Arts Center, Charlotte
Doors open at 2 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required, but an RSVP is encouraged. Entrance is provided on a first come, first served basis.
8 pm: Dallas Rally
Mesquite Arena, 1818 Rodeo Dr., Mesquite
Doors open at 6 pm. The rally begins at 8 pm and ends at 10 pm. This event is free and open to the public. Tickets are not required, but an RSVP is encouraged. You can RSVP here. Entrance is provided on a first come, first served basis.
The campaign's network of grassroots support is fueled by 7 million donations averaging just $18 each.
