Galleria Dallas welcomes 3 new stores including cotton candy omakase shop
For those burned-out on online shopping, Galleria Dallas, the premiere mall in North Dallas, has three new store openings teed up that might get you out of the house. One is an unusual kids' store, another has a cotton candy theme, and a third has jewelry and accessories.
Here's the 411:
Trail Blaze
This pop-up shop sells items created by young entrepreneurs. It's operated by Target Evolution, a nonprofit that help teens earn money from their own small business or freelance work. According to a release, the goal is to "help prepare them for life in the 21st century."
On its website, Target Evolution cites a 2017 Forbesstory which says that if freelancing continues its growth rate, then the majority of workers in the U.S. will be freelance by 2027.
Most of the goods in the store are either apparel such as T-shirts, or accessories.
This is the second Trail Blaze shop, following the opening of the first in Galleria Houston in 2019.
The store will open on Level Three near Earthbound Trading in mid-October.
Make Your Life Sweeter
This is the first brick-and-mortar store for this sweets concept which has transformed cotton candy and popcorn into gourmet indulgences.
The store will be part shop, part restaurant and will feature a one-hour "Dessert Omakase" with more than a dozen bites. The omakase offering is by reservation only. They're also doing cotton candy-infused hot beverages.
The interior and exterior are packed with Instagram-ready visuals, while shelves are stocked with products such as:
- Sugaire – gourmet cotton candy in flavors like Crème Brulee Cheesecake, Passionfruit, and Baklava
- HotPop – gourmet popcorn in flavors like Italian Cream Cake (which founder Yasmeen Tadia originally designed for Maserati) and South African Peppermint Crisp
- Gourmet Gummies – custom created in beautiful shapes and colors
- ModSweet – amazing confections including Peruvian chocolate truffles and colorful macarons
The entry of the boutique is rimmed with paper flowers hand-crafted by Qudsia Maqbool, whose flowers are also carried in the store.
Lovisa
Fashion jewelry boutique offers earrings, hair accessories, necklaces, bracelets, rings, kids’ accessories, face masks and ear piercing.
Since launching in 2010, Lovisa now has more than 400 stores in 15 countries globally, including one at the Parks Mall in Arlington that opened in 2019.
The boutique at the Galleria is slated to open on Level Two near Altar’d State in November.
