East Hampton Sandwich Co. sets date for Plano to start lobster roll nosh
Plano will finally get its lobster roll. East Hampton Sandwich Co. has set a date for the opening of its new location at the Shops at Legacy: Wednesday, November 6. The location is situated on the north side of Legacy Drive, in the not-that-old Au Bon Pain space.
EHSC specializes in sandwiches and salads. It'll be open for lunch and dinner. Daily menu highlights include its most renowned dish, the lobster roll, plus a turkey sandwich with bacon and avocado and another with fried chicken.
Vegetarian options are cheesy, with one sandwich comprising asparagus and Gruyere cheese. Another has goat cheese and avocado.
For the carb-phobic there is a section called "on harvest greens" where all sandwiches can be rid of their bread and transformed into a salad with choice of spinach, Italian mix or romaine.
Founder Hunter Pond states in a release that the store will also offer seasonal sandwich specials. As a for instance, the current "seasonal" sandwich at the original Snider Plaza location is a chicken Parm with marinara, which sounds yummy and all, if not especially seasonal.
Although East Hampton Sandwich Co. seems perfect for lunch, it also has dinner hours, even on Sunday; the Snider Plaza location shuts down at 3 pm. So if it's 5 pm on a Sunday night and you absolutely must have an EHSC sandwich, you can head to Plano. There's also a patio and a full bar. That's all you need for dinner.
