1990s Comedy Nostalgia
Canadian oddballs Kids in the Hall reunite for special Dallas comedy show
Few things scream the 1990s more than Canadian sketch comedy troupe Kids in the Hall. Anyone looking for a fresh bout of nostalgia can get it when the group reunites for a special one-off show at Majestic Theatre in Dallas on April 27.
This will be the first time Kids in the Hall have appeared together in Dallas since they came to Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie as part of their 2008 North American tour.
However, this show does not yet appear to be part of a larger tour. The group reunited for a series of shows last December in Toronto and will be doing a live reading of their movie Brain Candy there in March. But their Facebook page otherwise only mentions individual appearances.
The show bears the same name, Rusty and Ready, as the ones in Toronto, so it's reasonable to expect it to be similar to what they performed there. That show promised "new material and an assortment of oddities from their deep, dark trunk," which, as any KITH fan knows, can get pretty odd.
The original Kids in the Hall TV show ran from 1989 to 1995 in the United States, airing first on HBO and then on CBS.
