Rihanna reschedules Dallas concert at American Airlines Center
If you were one of the thousands left holding tickets after Rihanna canceled her April 16 concert in Dallas, rest assured those babies are still good. On Tuesday, Live Nation released the new Dallas date for her Diamonds World Tour: November 11, again at American Airlines Center.
The Washington Post, with a headline that read in part that "Rihanna is bored and beautiful," compared the concert to "a burlesque show in the year 2050, all bare skin, pyro and shiny industrial fabric." And apparently Rihanna is stingy with the smiles. Writer Kyle Gustafson also noted, "The most dazzling spectacle was Rihanna’s shy smile, which the perpetually bored singer flashed only when getting a ton of love from the audience members."
Perhaps this will make the singer smile. Rihanna has inked a deal with MAC Cosmetics, and the first lipstick, called RiRi Woo — inspired by the cult red MAC lipstick Ruby Roo — is available May 2.
The Houston show, originally scheduled for April 15, will now be November 14 at Toyota Center. Tickets for both previously scheduled performances will be honored at the November concerts.
Or, if you'd like to risk it, tickets can be purchased anew at Ticketmaster.com.
