Sex and the City star to launch fashionably affordable shoe line at Nordstrom
Carrie Bradshaw took audiences on a six-year strut of sex, love and shoes in the hit show Sex and the City. After it ended, devoted fans followed fashionable star Sarah Jessica Parker on film and to Halston Heritage, where she held a short gig designing for the contemporary line.
Now the style setter is set to launch her own collection of shoes, bags and trench coats, appropriately called SJP. Parker worked with Manolo Blahnik CEO George Malkemus to create a line of shoes that even Bradshaw would approve.
The line will comprise sandals, flats, pumps and boots, affordably priced from $200-$400. SJP will be available exclusively at Nordstrom in January 2014.
"In a silly way, I think it's what people have expected of me because of Carrie Bradshaw," Parker told Vogue.com. "Because I got to play that role, I wore a lot of shoes, and by default I learned an enormous amount," Parker said. "It's hard to walk away from that."
