Healthy restaurant bequeaths bowls on Plano's Shops at Legacy
After making its Dallas-area debut in April, Original ChopShop — the fast-casual healthy restaurant chain serving bowls, salads, sandwiches, and juice — will open its second location in the area at Plano's Shops at Legacy.
The restaurant will open at 5717 Legacy Dr. in the space at #180 that used to be Luke's Locker, and is set to open in mid-August, which is really just a week away. In a release, CEO Jason Morgan called Original ChopShop "a perfect fit for the Plano community."
The chain was founded in Scottsdale, Arizona in 2013 before relocating its headquarters to Plano in 2016.
Las Colinas was the first in the area. Shops at Legacy will be the ninth, and two more DFW locations are in the works: in Plano at Park and Preston, and in Dallas' University Park, where exactly they do not say.
The menu has a variety of dietary-friendly items for adults and children, including food free of gluten, dairy, lactose, and soy, along with vegetarian and vegan options.
Protein bowls are their core item, with greens, grains, and a protein. The most popular is the teriyaki chicken bowl, which can be served with choice of forbidden rice, brown rice, or sweet potato hash.
The menu also offers salads, sandwiches, acai and pitaya superfruit bowls, juice, and protein shakes.
Ambience is relaxed, with sunny accents, distressed wood, handwritten notes, and vintage photos. A patio seats 24 guests and features outdoor festoon lights and custom planters.
They'll be open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, from 7 am-9 pm Monday-Saturday, and 7 am-8 pm Sunday.
