Dallas market Eatzi's will impress travelers with opening at DFW Airport
Dallas-based Eatzi's Market & Bakery, the European-style market featuring bread, gourmet goods, and meals to-go, is opening its newest shop at an international location: Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.
The opening is a ways off. According to a release, it's slated to open in 2025.
The market will go into the new $3-billion Terminal F, where it will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner, seven days a week. It will be part of a food hall, which is currently trendy, although who knows whether that trend will still be hot in four years? It is not for us to say.
Eatzi's CEO Adam Romo says in a statement that it's a perfect fit.
"Expanding into the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport is a strategic way to introduce Eatzi’s high quality, customizable meals to a broader market without leaving our Texas roots," Romo says. "Our chef-prepared meals can be enjoyed by travelers looking for a convenient, gourmet meal in between flights or those picking up food for their drive home. It is a perfect fit for our brand—offering travelers a variety of quality and quick meals."
Menu highlights include a create-your-own sandwich and salad bar, grab-n-go deli trays, packaged cured meats and aged cheeses, a café offering coffee, lattes, and teas, gourmet meals for the taking, craft beer, and wine.
The airport location will incorporate Eatzi's trademark theater elements, and that includes piping in opera music.
The store will be a mini version, only 2,500 square feet. Eatzi's locations in DFW typically range from 5,500 o 10,000 square feet.
This will be the first Eatzi's Market and Bakery location at an airport. It currently has six locations in DFW.
