Heisman hangover? Johnny Manziel kicked out of Manning Passing Academy
Johnny Manziel seems determined to make headlines this offseason. His party boy ways are once again the talk of the town thanks to an early dismissal from the Manning Passing Academy in Thibodaux, Louisiana.
The camp's purpose is to develop high school football players under the tutelage of Archie, Cooper, Peyton and Eli Manning. Outstanding college players are also on staff, and Texas A&M's Heisman Trophy winner was supposed to be a camp counselor.
But after he missed his Friday morning session, Archie Manning reportedly sent Johnny Football packing. Reports surfaced that Manziel was "ill," though a highly publicized night out in Thibodaux raised questions that it was a hangover, not a run-of-the-mill headache, that sidelined the sophomore quarterback.
Manziel's father told the media his son was recovering from "dehydration," which is part and parcel of a serious hangover. Of course, Manziel is just 20 years old and not even legally able to drink. And we all know Manziel would never do anything illegal.
Any chance Manziel was contrite about his misbehavior was erased when the star quarterback was spotted partying in College Station's Northgate Bar District just 24 hours after being kicked out of the academy. Nothing like nursing dehydration with a trip to the bar.
