Whitney Harris moved from Brooklyn to Dallas last summer and can barely rememberlife before the Katy Trail and Klyde Warren Park. After graduating with a B.A.in English from the University of Pennsylvania, she worked as a nonfiction bookeditor at an independent publishing house and then as deputy editor of aManhattan family magazine. She was most recently Dallas editor of the now sorelymissed women's lifestyle website DailyCandy.In addition to CultureMap, she writes for Dallas Child, North Texas Child, FortWorth Child, StrollerTraffic and Birchbox. She lives in Northeast Dallas withher lawyer husband and an insanely affectionate vizsla puppy. In her free timeshe can be found hanging out at Mutts, running around White Rock Lake or scopingout her next meal anywhere food trucks tend to park.
