Events for every Dallasite bloom at the Harwood District this spring
Spring has definitely sprung in Dallas, and with that comes the urge to get out and about around town. The HARWOOD District is basically your go-to neighborhood for fun spring events, from boozy brunches to al fresco yoga to family-friendly Easter celebrations.
Read on to discover what's happening in HARWOOD this spring, and then start planning.
DJ Brunch
Pair beats with bubbly at this new brunch series, which will rotate through participating HARWOOD District restaurants through July. From noon-3 pm every Saturday, listen to tunes being spun by the best Dallas DJs while you savor a delicious brunch.
HARWOOD Yoga
Would you rather jump-start your weekend with a warrior or tree pose? Head to the gardens between Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar and Mercat Bistro for a free 60-minute vinyasa flow led by instructor Colby Ranae Hanks, held on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. All skill levels are welcome.
AcroYoga
Let Dallas Fitness Ambassadors's Mai Lyn and instructor An Truong introduce you to this partner-based style at The Grove at Harwood on April 8 at 10 am — don't worry, it's open to all levels and a partner isn't required, but do bring your own mat and water. Tickets are $10 and include complimentary food and drink from The Grove, and proceeds benefit Epic Animal Rescue.
Late Night Open Mic at Magnolias: Sous Le Pont
On the last Thursday of each month, stay late at your favorite coffee shop to hear local musicians sing and strum while you enjoy drip coffee and tasty nibbles. A new local artist exhibition will also launch during Open Mic on May 25, curated in partnership with Ro2 Art.
After-Hours Cocktail Tour
Explore the largest private collection of samurai art and armor outside of Japan at The Ann & Gabriel Barbier-Mueller Museum: The Samurai Collection during the last Thursday of the month. The $10 admission price includes a refreshing cocktail of choice provided by Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar.
The Annual HARWOOD Easter Egg Hunt
From 11 am-2 pm on April 16, families are invited to bring their Easter baskets and hunt to their hearts' content. The egg hunt takes place in the gardens between Mercat Bistro and Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar, with a special egg hunt intended for kids 10 and under from 11 am-1 pm. A meet-and-greet with the Easter Bunny himself is also on the docket.
Enjoy brunch at either Mercat Bistro, Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar, or Dolce Riviera for the special occasion.
At Mercat, sitting on the patio will get you a front-row seat to watch the egg hunt. The contemporary European bistro also has a brunch buffet of appetizers and desserts plus an a la carte main course menu. Children ages 12 and under will have all-access to the brunch buffet for just $12.95, and those under age 3 will dine free.
At Saint Ann Restaurant & Bar, all-American brunch favorites such as eggs Benedict and steak and eggs grace the Easter brunch menu, and the mimosas will start flowing as early as 10 am.
Dolce Riviera, the newest restaurant in the HARWOOD District, is pairing impeccable wines with true Italian Easter specials. Plan to save room for the Uova di Pasqua, a rich and decadent chocolate Easter egg specially prepared for this occasion.
The Grove and Dallasites101 Summer Fiesta
Celebrate The Grove reopening and Dallasites101's two-year anniversary on May 13 with a day full of music, lawn games, drink specials, freebies, vendors, a volleyball tournament, and more, all starting at 12 pm. DJ Blake Ward will join live musicians to keep the party rocking all day long, and stay tuned for even more fun announcements as the date gets closer.
