Design That Inspires
Design VIPs get first dibs at Dwell With Dignity Thrift Studio preview party
Dwell With Dignity founder and president Lisa Robison has struck gold in the world of philanthropic fun, thanks to her semiannual Thrift Studio, open through May 10 at International on Turtle Creek Design Center. When giving back involves shopping for chi home furnishings and accessories, who wouldn't want to support the cause?
Naturally, someone had to get first dibs on the inventory donated by participating designers. During the preview party, VIPs — including Kari Schlegel Kloewer, Kimberly Schlegel Whitman, Erin Mathews, Leslie and Jason Needleman, Michelle Moussa, Matthew Simon, Tina Haleuin, and Elizabeth Showers — perused the high-end decor that was presented in beautiful vignettes and sold at significant discounts.
Designers for this pop-up shop include the following:
- Jan Showers
- Julio Quiñones along with Culp Associates
- Mecox
- Sarah Pickard along with Robert Allen Design
- Swoon the Studio
- Tompkins Lloyd Interiors along with the David Sutherland Showroom
Couldn't make it the first week? Never fear, friends: The Thrift Studio will be refreshed with new products from notable lines such as Mitchell Gold + Bob Williams, Peacock Alley and Arteriors for the duration of the pop-up. Hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10 am-5:30 pm, and 100 percent of the proceeds benefit Dwell With Dignity.
Dwell With Dignity is a nonprofit group of interior designers and volunteers dedicated to creating soothing, inspiring homes for families struggling with homelessness and poverty.
