Stephanie Allmon Merry is CultureMap's editorial director, overseeing content for all five sites. A lifelong Texan and Dallas native, her journalism career began as the editor of The Daily Campus at her alma mater, Southern Methodist University. Upon completing a prestigious Pulliam Fellowship at the Indianapolis Star and News, she moved back to Texas to be a features writer and lifestyles editor at the Waco Tribune-Herald, and then an editor for the Fort Worth Star-Telegram's award-winning Life & Arts section and Indulge luxury magazine. Stephanie has won national writing awards from the Society for Features Journalism and taught journalism classes at Texas Christian University. She lives in Fort Worth with her husband, Michael, and their adorably fluffy Persian cat, Reesey. stephanie@culturemap.com
